Zamaira / OTA Revenue Recovery

Hotel OTA Revenue Recovery & Reconciliation

Reservations, property management system records and OTA statements do not always tell the same story. Zamaira Hospitality reviews eligible hotel OTA payment and commission discrepancies so owners can understand which amounts may be worth investigating, disputing or recovering. Our process is evidence-led and requires authorization before action.

What we investigate

For an agreed review period, we compare available hotel records with Expedia, Booking.com and other applicable OTA records. Depending on the account and supporting documentation, we may review:

  • Virtual credit card (VCC) payments: potentially missed or uncollected eligible settlements.
  • OTA remittances: payments that may not match supported reservation and settlement records.
  • Commission charges: invoices that may need review against cancellations, no-shows and property records.
  • Reservation mismatches: differences between OTA bookings, amendments, cancellations and the hotel's PMS.

A discrepancy is a starting point for investigation, not proof that money is owed. OTA rules, eligibility windows and the available evidence determine whether a specific claim can be pursued.

How an OTA recovery review works

  1. Define the scope. Agree on accounts, review dates, data access and approval requirements.
  2. Reconcile records. Compare eligible OTA transactions, property records, invoices and settlements.
  3. Verify findings. Separate supported potential discrepancies from items that require more evidence.
  4. Seek authorization. Pursue documented claims only with the hotel's approval and through permitted OTA channels.
  5. Report the outcome. Distinguish identified amounts, submitted claims, accepted claims and funds actually settled.

Recovery review fees

The initial review has no upfront recovery fee. Under a written agreement, the success fee is 25% of qualifying funds or savings actually recovered. Eligible amounts, fee calculations, responsibilities and any exclusions must be defined before work begins. No claim approval or recovery amount is guaranteed.

Common questions

Can a hotel recover every unpaid virtual-card charge?

No. Recoverability depends on the applicable OTA's terms, timing, transaction details and evidence. We do not treat all apparent payment gaps as collectible.

Do you submit claims without approval?

No. Evidence is reviewed and client authorization is obtained before claims are pursued.

Can this help prevent future mismatches?

Recovery reviews can expose recurring discrepancies. Our OTA distribution management service focuses on accurate room mapping, rates and availability, while revenue management focuses on pricing and demand.
